چکیده
Abstract. Fluxes from deforestation, changes in land cover, use and management practices (FLUC for simplicity) contributed to approximately 14 % of anthropogenic CO2 emissions 2009–2018. Estimating FLUC accurately space time remains, however, challenging, due multiple sources uncertainty the calculation these fluxes. This uncertainty, turn, is propagated global regional carbon budget estimates, hindering compilation a consistent preventing us constraining other terms, such as natural sink. Uncertainties estimates arise many different sources, including differences model structure (e.g. process based vs. bookkeeping) parameterisation. Quantifying uncertainties each source requires controlled simulations separate their effects. Here, we analyse between two bookkeeping models used regularly since 2017: by Hansis et al. (2015) (BLUE) that Houghton Nassikas (2017) (HN2017). The have very similar philosophy, but differ significantly both with respect intensity spatiotemporal variability. land-use forcing also We find larger BLUE compared HN2017 are largely C densities managed vegetation or primary secondary vegetation, higher allocation cleared harvested material fast turnover pools than HN2017. Besides parameterisation forcing, assumptions cause differences: particular represents gross transitions which leads overall losses more quickly realised

The change of land use/land cover has been known as an imperative force in environmental alteration, especially in arid and semi-arid areas. This research was mainly aimed to assess the validity of two major types of land change modeling techniques via a three dimensional approach in Birjand urban watershed located in an arid climatic region of Iran. Thus, a Markovian approach based on two suit...

متن کاملThe SLEUTH Land Use Change Model: A Review
Land use change is driven by interaction in space and time between humans and the environment that can be captured by computer simulation models (Veldkamp and Verburg, 2004). In the last few decades, land use change models have played an important role in understanding the causes, mechanisms and consequences of land use dynamics. SLEUTH is an open source cellular automata based land use change ...
متن کاملUncertainties in land use data
This paper deals with the description and assessment of uncertainties in land use data derived from Remote Sensing observations, in the context of hydrological studies. Land use is a categorical regionalised variable reporting the main socio-economic role each location has, where the role is inferred from the pattern of occupation of land. The properties of this pattern that are relevant to hyd...
